From the Sacramento Bee came news this morning that a barn fire at the training facility of horseman Doug Ingersoll, in Lincoln, CA, killed 12 horses.
According to the report, the barn was completely ablaze when firefighters arrived shortly after 2:45 a.m. The fire destroyed the 4,000 square-foot barn and the 12 horses stalled inside, which were unable to be saved.
Correction: Earlier, I incorrectly reported that it was Bobby Ingersoll’s barn that burned and regret any confusion this might have caused. sh
