Dual Catish, by Dual Reyish, topped the final day of the Preferred Breeders Sale.

From first day to last, the 2021 NCHA Futurity Sales exceeded all expectations as 619 horses – 90 % of those offered – sold for an average of $63,000, with 80 selling from $100,000 on up to $1.3 million.

The NCHA Futurity 2-Year-Old Sale Sessions, held on on December 6 and 7, launched six days of NCHA Futurity Sales. Session I smashed the all-time record average by nearly $25,000, with the sale of 94 horses for an average of $75,043. Yet that record fell the next day to Session II’s average of $90,646 on 99 head.

December 8, the third day of sales, saw the NCHA Futurity Cutting Horse Sale bring a record $89,571 average on 21 (95%) horses offered. While The Evening Session set another record with an average price of $91,234 on 47 horses.

On December 9, the Center Ranch Dispersal set an all-time record for cutting horse dispersals with $7,491,000 realized on 117 horses and an average of $64,026. In addition, the sale of the ranch’s foundation sire Woody Be Tuff for $1,300,000 broke another record, for the all-time highest selling price.

As a grand finale, the Preferred Breeders Sale Sessions I and II, on December 10 and 11, wrapped up six sensational days with averages of $40,208 on 120 horses (94%) sold in Session I, and $37,207 on 121 horses (98%) in Session II.
