The 2012 Western Bloodstock Futurity Sales kicked off on a high note Monday, December 10, with 92% completed sales in the NCHA Futurity Cutters & Prospects Sale; the same sale saw 76% completed sales in 2011.

The high seller at $30,000 was Brows CD, a 8-year-old bay gelding with earnings of over $63,000. The CD Olena son, originally trained by Paul Hansma, was consigned by Scott Maling.

Dualler Cat, an 6-year-old gelding consigned by Eugene Chiarelli, brought $19,000, the second highest price of the day. The son of High Brow Cougar, in training with Dirk Blakesly, earned over $21,000 as a non-pro limited age event mount.

Five-year-old Whos Yer Diddie, earner of $13,669 and in training with Tag Rice, sold for $17,500. The Dual Smart Rey daughter was consigned by Caitlin Enright, who showed her as an Amateur Finalist in the 2010 NCHA Futurity.
