Cats Quixote Jack, ridden by Kory Pounds, won the Abilene Spectacular Classic this morning with 225.5 points. It was the sixth major limited event championship title for the 6-year-old High Brow Cat son owned by Steve and Michelle Anderson.
Last year, Cats Quxote Jack won both the open and non-pro divisions of the Western Horseman Cup under Pounds and Michelle Anderson. With career earnings of $165,858, and a showing in the non-pro division, the stallion’s Abilene Open Classic winnings will bring him close to the $200,000 mark.
