SDP Felixs Joy has claimed three wins and a reserve championship in just four weeks of major cutting competition. Her latest title came as champion of the $675,000 South Point Futurity on October 18 in Las Vegas, with 219 points under Dirk Blakesley (pictured). Peptos Sweet Miss placed second with 216 with Morgan Cromer.

SDP Felixs Joy, sired by Mr Jay Bar Cat, had won the Music City Open Futurity in September, and was champion of the Music City Non-Pro Limited. She was also reserve champion of the Music City Non-Pro division with 20-year-old Natalie Williamson, daughter of owners Clinton and Susan Williamson, Leon, KS. The latest win will give SDP Felixs Joy NCHA career earnings of more than $46,000.

Kittens earned her 16th limited age event champion’s title with a 220-point win in the South Point Classic/Challenge Non-Pro division with Bonnie Martin (pictured). Only Shakin Flo with 18 and Tap O Lena with 17 have won more. Kittens, a 6-year-old High Brow Cat daughter, who also placed sixth in the South Point Open Classic/Challenge under Russ Miller, is the only one of the three still competing in limited age events. She has NCHA career earnings of more than $246,000, including her South Point money.

Martin, who lives in Las Vegas, also placed as co-reserve champion of the Non-Pro division with 215 points on Cee Dee Royal Tee, by CD Royal. Kyle Manion tied with Martin on Im Countin Checks. Manion’s 6-year-old Smart Lil Ricochet son also tied for the Classic/Challenge Open championship under Tim Smith and has NCHA lifetime earnings of more than $473,000.

Oaks On The Skyline, ridden by Tim Smith for Sally Nakasawa, won the South Point Derby with 219 points; Lil Bit Freckles, under Russ Westfall, and Wildcats, with Rock Hedlund, split second with 218 points. Dustin Adams and Masqeurey claimed the South Point Derby Non-Pro championship with 220 points; Adan Banuelos and Bonnie Martin tied for reserve with 216.
