Shesa Little Cat and Meredith McCullar have made more NCHA major aged event finals (11) than any other 4-year-old horse and rider team in 2007. The High Brow Cat daughter is out of Quixote Lena Peppy, the horse that carried McCullar for his first championship win, the 1998 NCHA Amateur Super Stakes.

Shesa Little Cat has given McCullar, a Memphis, TN real estate developer, three titles so far in 2007: NCHA Derby Non-Pro Ltd champion; NCHA Derby Non-Pro Senior champion and NCHA Super Stakes Non-Pro champion. Her biggest single paycheck of $21,101 was as tenth-place finalist in the NCHA Super Stakes, but she had earned $62,017 through September 1.

“Her mother was the smartest animal that I’ve ever been around,” said McCullar, who raised Shesa Little Cat on his 4M Ranch near Baird, TX. “She could think just like a human. This filly is the same way.”

McCullar’s son Clay, who manages 4M Ranch, has earned $88,000 so far this year riding Smartlittlesnowflake, Royal Red Pepto and MH Dynos Tonette. Clay has lifetime earnings of nearly $350,000; Meredith has a lifetime total of $261,208.

Kitty Oak, a 6-year-old mare by Kit Dual, has made more finals (16) so far this year than any other horse. She has been ridden in Non-Pro and Amateur competition by Shelby Belcher, and in Open classes by Steve Oehlof.
