Twenty-four horses with combined scores of 435.5 points or higher qualified for the 5-Year-Old Open Finals on Wednesday, March 31, including Special Edition Cat LTE $39,179, with 442 points under James Payne for Chris and Grant Schiller, Stillwater, Okla., as well as Spookys Honey Badger LTE $35,252, shown by Grant Setnicka for Robert Thigpen, Chilton, Tex., and Sanctus LTE $147,504, under Adan Banuelos for Scott Durham, Fort Worth, Tex., who each tallied 441.5 points.

Kenny Platt, the NCHA Hall of Fame earner of $1.9 million, showed Dr Sueish as an NCHA Futurity Open semi-finalist. Earlier this year, following a successful showing in 2020 events, the pair placed third in the Cattlemens 5/6 Open Classic.
