Moms Stylish Player, a Hall of Fame Horse shown by Hall of Fame Rider Kenny Platt, won the 7 Ranch NCHA World Finals Open division on December 7, 2019 in dramatic fashion.

He won three working rounds, plus the cumulative score to earn $26,071 at the Word Finals, $10,000 more than his nearest rival. And in doing so, he shot from ninth in the World Standings at the end of the regular point year, to the reserve championship for 2019.

Owned by Robert Tregemba of Lawrence, Kansas, Moms Stylish Player is a 7-year-old gelding bred by Drummond Land & Cattle Co. by Lizzys Gotta Player out of $1.3 million producer Moms Stylish Babe.

He once sold for $8,500 and he’s gone on to win the NCHA Super Stakes, NCHA Derby and a host of other major aged events, earning more than $400,000.

At the World Finals, he marked 227 / 230 / 230 / 220 for a combined score of 907 – 23.5 points ahead of the second horse in the cumulative tally.

Copperish, ridden by Lloyd Cox for Jimmie Miller Smith, earned $16,053 for second in the World Finals. Copperish is a 6-year-old mare bred by Double Dove Ranch by Metallic Cat out of Stylish Play Lena. She is a three-quarter sister to Horse of the Year Smooth Talkin Style. She was a $210,000 purchase at the 2014 Western Bloodstock NCHA Futurity Sales.

The 2019 World Champion is CR Gotcha Covered, shown by Tarin Rice for Joel Colgrove of Boligee, Alabama. The 7-year-old stallion earned $84,273 for the year, bringing in checks at 45 shows before the World Finals.

Bred by Jerry and Kathy Erwin, CR Gotcha Covered is by Dualin Boon out of The Catattac, by High Brow Cat. He was a finalist at all of NCHA’s Triple Crown shows, plus 16 other major limited age events. He has earned more than $300,000.
