Phil Rapp rode Redneck Yachtclub to a six-point win in the MillionHeir Derby yesterday in Las Vegas. Rapp marked 225 in the finals on the gelding by San Tule Freckles owned by him and his wife, Mary Ann. The win was worth $300,000. Redneck Yachtclub is out of Sheyssmartlittlelena, an earner of $99,000 that Ronnie Rice rode in the NCHA Futurity finals in 2000.

The MillionHeir is held in conjunction with the South Point Winter Championship which saw Bill Riddle win the Open Derby on Miss Stylish Pepto, a Peptoboonsmal mare owned by Glenn and Debbie Drake.
