Completed sales of 89% on Thursday kept Western Bloodstock’s 2018 NCHA Futurity Sales momentum on track for an industry benchmark, as the Preferred Breeders Sale II highlighted a brisk market for yearlings, including the high-selling colt Reyfreshed, purchased for $80,000 from 3 T Ranch, Pilot Point, Tex.

Consigned by Lone Oak Performance Horses, LLC, Reyfreshed, by Dual Rey, is out of the High Brow Cat daughter Shes Icing On the Cat LTE $249,884, producer of earners of $243,195. Reyfreshed’s half-brother, Brother Jackson LTE $144,731, was the 2017 NRCHA Derby Open Bridle Spectacular Champion.

Yearling filly Supercats Valentine, consigned by Pro Fit Equine, Agent for Paul Dean, sold to Charles Burger, Chatsworth, Ga.,for $72,000. The Dual Rey daughter is out of NCHA Futurity Open champion Highbrow Supercat LTE $366,230, an all-time leading prodcer of earners of $1,344,386, including seven full siblings to Supercats Valentine.

SDP Eight O One, consigned by SDP Buffalo Ranch, brought a winning bid of $70,000 from Mike Carson, Fort Worth, Tex. The Sannman yearling colt is out of A Little Reylena LTE $126,058, the #2 NCHA Leading Producer in 2017, and dam of 2017 NCHA Futurity Open champion Dual Reyish LTE $347,014.

Metallic Hurricane, a yearling son of Metallic Cat, brought $63,000 from Steve Anderson, Victoria, Tex. Consigned by JJ and Tiffany Manion, Metallic Hurricane is out of Farra Rey LTE $101,252, a Dual Rey daughter and dam of earners of $479,344.
