Dustin Adams of Dublin, Texas marked 220 on Reyann Hickory to lead the first go-round of Non-Pro competition at the NCHA Eastern National Championships, presented by 6666 Ranch, in Jackson, Mississippi today.<\/p>\n

Adams, an NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Famer, has been a finalist at the NCHA Western Nationals in Ogden, Utah, in the past, but this is his first time to qualify for the finals at the Eastern National Championships.<\/p>\n

Reyann Hickory is a 9-year-old Dual Rey mare that has earned more than $300,000.<\/p>\n

Todd Quirk on NQH Tom Cat, by High Brow Cat, had the second highest Non-Pro score of 219.\u00c2\u00a0 NQH Tom Cat went over the $100,000 mark earlier in the show when Austin Shepard rode him to win the $10,000 Novice finals.<\/p>\n

Page Bowman leads $50,000 Amateur contenders<\/h3>\n

Page Bowman of Simpsonville, Kentucky, who won the Junior Youth title on Snazzy Easter Bunny on Sunday, came back on Thursday to lead the $50,000 Amateur qualifiers with a 221 on Mates Cajun Star, by Smart Mate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bowman, 13, is sitting in sixth place in the Junior Youth World Standings for 2011.<\/p>\n

Andrea Sutten of Fort Worth, Texas, marked 218.5, the second high score of the $50,000 Amateur go-round. She rode Daintys Tom Cat, by High Brow Cat.<\/p>\n

Finals of both the Non-Pro and the $50,000 Amateur will be held Saturday, as the show wraps up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
