{"id":7,"date":"2006-08-14T20:26:57","date_gmt":"2006-08-15T00:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=7"},"modified":"2006-08-24T00:51:36","modified_gmt":"2006-08-24T04:51:36","slug":"who-is-that-masked-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=7","title":{"rendered":"Who is that masked man?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joe Kirk Fulton, a leading breeder of Quarter racehorses for 50 years and one of the original Dash For Cash Syndicate members, was a top consignor at the recent Eclipse Sale held at Lone Star Park, Grand Prairie, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look for breeding and conformation with my horses because I don\u2019t think either one of them is worth a damn without the other,\u201d said Fulton, who ventured into the Quarter Horse world with halter and cutting horses, before switching to racehorses in the late 1960\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Fulton\u2019s first claim to fame with horses came when he donned a black mask and red and black cape, on January 1, 1954 and rode a black Quarter Horse to lead the Texas Tech football team onto the field against Auburn in the Gator Bowl.
