Faded Love, by Metallic Cat, was sold by Shane and Ashley Carlon to Grant Setnicka, agent for $550,000 to top the first day of the 2025 Western Bloodstock NCHA Futurity Sales.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Western Bloodstock launched its 2025 National Cutting Horse Futurity Sales 7-day schedule on Sunday, November 30th<\/sup> with an enthusiastic crowd in Will Rogers Equestrian Center\u2019s Watt Arena. And first-day results, in the 2-Year-Old Sale Session 1, one-upped 2024\u2019s record-breaking first day\u2019s results, to portend another outstanding year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While 2024 and 2025 Sessions each saw 18 two-year-olds sell for $100,000 or more, this year\u2019s Session 1 average of $75,582 reflected a three-percent increase over 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faded Love, by Metallic Cat, was Day 1\u2019s high seller at $550,000. Consigned by Shane and Ashley Carlon and in training with Shane Carlon, the January 2023 sorrel filly was purchased by Grant Setnicka, Agent, Grandview, TX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bred by Lucinda Rose David, Joaquin, TX, Faded Love is out of Fadie Lou LTE $87,861, by Woody Be Tuff, and is a half-sister to Feyded LTE $17,245, an RCHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion, and NRCHA Open Stallion Stakes finalist. High Brow Cat daughter Lucindas Catolena LTE $176,086, Faded Love\u2019s second dam, has produced 12 earners of $824,746, including CR Tuff Lucy LTE $382,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reyzin Day Z, bred and consigned by Todd Nelson and in training with Richard Jordan, brought $495,000, the day\u2019s second-highest price, from Austin Shepard, agent. The January 2023 Reyzin The Cash bay filly is out of Playgun daughter PG Katness LTE $5,310, and half-sister to Stevie Rey Von daughter Von Katness LTE $118,509, an NCHA Int. Open Derby Champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stylin Reyish, in training with and consigned by Colter Klemm, as agent for Trevor Boatwright, was purchased by Russ and Janet Westfall, Granbury, TX, for $300,000, the sale\u2019s third highest price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bred by Ronald Cook, Whittier, NC, and sired by Dual Reyish, Stylin Reyish is the first foal out of Metallic Cat daughter Stylin Metallic Cat LTE $7,756, whose dam Frecklesareinstyle LTE $191,846, by Docs Stylish Oak, has produced 17 earners of $710,149 and is a full sister to BR Pianoman LTE $182,274.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 NCHA Futurity Sales continue on Monday, December 1st with Session II of the 2-Year-Old Sale, and will continue through December 6th<\/sup> with Session IV of the Preferred Breeders Sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
