This is the fourth major victory for the <a href=\"http:\/\/\">2008 NCHA Open Futurity <\/a>champion, ridden by Beau Galyean for Alvin Fults, Amarillo, TX.<\/p>\n<p>Nurse Connie scored 221 points under Paul Hansma for Dub and Christy Leeth to earn the reserve championship. Yesterday, Hansma won the Music City 5\/6-Year-Old Classic with Cats Little Tank, also owned by the Leeths.<\/p>\n<p>Metallic Cat&#8217;s $19,835 winner&#8217;s share of the Music City\u00a0 Futurity, along with $6,224 earned for a third-place finish at the Mebane Ranch Festival,\u00a0 will boost his NCHA earnings to $554,306. The only cutting stallions to have earned more are 30-year-old Smart Little Lena with $743,275; Docs Okie Quixote (deceased) with $635,707; and 26-year-old Cash Quixote Rio with $593,460.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the NCHA Futurity, Metallic Cat and Galyean won the 2009 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=946\">Abilene Spectacular <\/a>and the <a href=\"http:\/\/\">Breeders Invitational<\/a>, and earned reserve in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=985\">Tunica Futurity <\/a>and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=1070\">NCHA Super Stakes<\/a>. They also placed third in the NCHA Derby.
