Day One of the 2023 Western Bloodstock NCHRA Snaffle Bit Futurity Sales, Friday, October 20th in Fort Worth, saw records fall as four horses commanded $100,000-plus, with a total of seven bringing $95,000 or more. In addition, the Performance Horse and 2-Year-Old Sale hit an all-time high average of $50,706, while Session I of the Select Yearling & Broodmare realized a solid average of $25,693, showing gains from 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call Her Hilda 17, a 2017 bay daughter of Metallic Cat bred to Woody Be Tuff, brought the day’s highest price, $110,000, from Eduardo Elizondo, Laredo, Tex. Consigned by Cooper Smith, Call Her Hilda 17 is a full sister to Call Me Mitch LTE $466,831, the 2023 NRCHA World’s Greatest Horseman Champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melodys Smart Rey, consigned by Wagonhound Land & Livestock LLC, sold  to Lita West, Hailey, Idaho, for $105,000. Sired by WR This Cats Smart, the 2022 black stallion is out of Reys Stressin Melody LTE $52,226, an NRCHA Open Hackamore Classic Reserve Champion, by Reys Dual Badger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Love Train, a 2022 sorrel stallion sired by Woody Be Tuff, went to J Sandy Semanik, Jacksonville, Florida, for $100,000. Consigned by Beverly Servi, The Love Train is out of NRCHA Open Hackamore and Stallion Stakes World Champion Metallic Train LTE $185,900, dam of 3-year-old The Cash Train LTE $22,000, the NSHA RCH Open Futurity Reserve Champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pistoleer, a 2021 gray stallion consigned by Roger Terry, in training with Zane Davis, sold for $100,000 to Atlee Snyder, Hobbs, NM. A gray son of Stevie Rey Von, Pistoleer is out of the Playgun daughter Handle It Playgun LTE $80,260, the dam of three money earners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2023 NCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Sales, held at Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth, concludes on Saturday, October 21 with Session II of the Select Yearling & Broodmare Sale, and the Chappell-White Partnership Absolute Dispersal Sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
