Wendy Darlin, by Dual Rey, sold for $500,000 to top the Evening Session of the Western Bloodstock NCHA Futurity Sales on Wednesday.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Evening Session of the 2021 NCHA Futurity Sales, on Wednesday, December 8, set an all-time record with an average price of $91,234, midway through a week of mounting achievements in the cutting pen and the sales arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wendy Darlin, a yearling Dual Rey daughter consigned by T Bar K Cutting Horses and purchased by Rocking P Ranch, LLC, Fort Worth, Tex., was the high-selling lot at $500,000 and one of 15 horses that brought $100,000 or more from the offering of 57 select yearlings and broodmares, with 83% completed sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of 2017 NCHA Open Reserve World Champion Eazee E LTE $211,145, Wendy Darlin is a full sister to NCHA Horse of the Year and 2018 NCHA Futurity Open Champion Crey Zee LTE $411,145. Her second dam, Zee Dually LTE $228,410 is an all-time leading producer of 21 earners of over $1.4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dontt Happen Twice, by Woody Be Tuff, was the session\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s second-highest seller at $325,000. Consigned by Bar RR Ranches, LLC, the 7-year-old mare sold bred to Metallic Cat and was purchased by Metallic Cat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s former owner Alvin Fults, Amarillo, Tex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of Dont Look Twice LTE $843,096, the 2011 NCHA Horse of the Year and 2012 NCHA Open World Champion by High Brow Cat, Dontt Happen Twice is a half-sister to Dont Stopp Believin LTE $463,962.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consigned by Billy Wolf, Whitesboro, Tex., Hes Never Rebelous, a yearling colt by first year sire Metallic Rebel, brought $220,000, the session\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the third-highest price, from Billy Wolf, Agent. Out of Never Reylinquish LTE $84,707, by Dual Rey, the red roan colt is a three-quarter brother to Buonvino LTE $231,088, the 2021 Abilene Spectacular Open Classic champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
