Roger Booth, Acton, Calif., riding Quaintrelle, by Dual Rey,\nscored 217 points on Tuesday, Dec. 10 to win the 2019 NCHA Futurity Amateur\nFinals. Grace Ornelas, on Mother Kwacker, by Dual Rey, and Carson Pearson, aboard\nLHR One Smooth Pepto, by One Time Pepto, tied for the reserve championship with\n215.5 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roger Booth, the NCHA earner of $299,939, has competed\nsuccessfully in limited age events on the West Coast and in the Mountain States,\nincluding in 2018 and 2019, showing Supermetallicman LTE $73,474, by Metallic\nCat. Booth also placed first in the 2009 NCHA $50,000 Amateur World\nChampionship standings riding Magnalight LTE $198,279, by Grays Starlight, and\nCD Cowtown Hickory LTE $50,047, by CD Olena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Booth purchased Quaintrelle from Center Ranch at the 2018\nNCHA Futurity Sales. Bred by Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches, Quaintrelle is the first\nmoney earner out of Autumn Kitty LTE $78,270, whose dam, Autumn Boon LTE\n$244,470, by Dual Pep, is a leading producer of earners of nearly $2 million\nand, in turn, is the daughter of all-time leading producer Royal Blue Boon LTE\n$224,685, the dam of earners of nearly $2.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Junior Youth rider Grace Ornelas, the NCHA earner of $6,501,\nmade her entry into major events when she won the $2,000 Limited Rider class at\nthe 2013 Non-Pro Cutting, riding Reynshine LTE $119,762, by Dual Rey. Reynshine\nalso carried Grace to place third in the 2013 NCHA Summer Spectacular Junior\nYouth Cutting and as a finalist in the 2014 NCHA Eastern Nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mother Kwacker, Grace\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 2019 NCHA Futurity mount, is a\nhalf-sister to The Kwack Shack LTE $55,593, out of Kwackin Cat, who Pedro\nOrnelas showed as a $2,000 Limited rider in 2012. Kwackin Cat is a full sister,\nby High Brow Cat, to Catting LTE $225,025, and to High Brow Kwackin LTE\n$154,134, as well as half-sister to Smart Crackin Chic LTE $191,375, by Smart\nChic Olena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grace Ornelas and Mother Kwacker also qualified for\nWednesday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s NCHA Futurity Unlimited Amateur Semi-Finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carson Pearson, the NCHA earner of $52,129, placed sixth in\nthe 2015 NCHA Futurity Amateur Finals and was an Unlimited Amateur, as well, on\nBoon N Ichi LTE $17,681, by Cat Ichi. Last year, Pearson won the NCHA Western\nNationals $5,000 Non-Pro Novice riding the Dual Smart Rey daughter White Leg\nLTE $40,991, who he also showed this year as an Amateur finalist in the\nBreeders Invitational Classic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
