Ted Petit Photography.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Riding 9-year-old Little Jackson Cat LTE $227,264, winner of the NCHA Transwest Western Nationals <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=16360\">Open and $25,000 Novice championships<\/a> under Mike Wood, earlier in the week, Dawn Chapman, Chandler, Ariz., scored 222 points to win the $25,000 Novice Non-Pro title on Saturday, the final day of Western Nationals competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Misty Greeson, Bartleville, Okla., claimed reserve with 219\npoints aboard 7-year-old Lil Maddy Rey LTE $82,999, by Dual Smart Rey, while\nKathy Sokol, Seville, Fla., and Kelle Chartier, Millsap, Tex., tied for third place\nwith 213.5 points, showing 7-year-old Bet On Finale LTE $53,803, by Bet Hesa\nCat, and 5-year-old Smooth Dual Kick LTE $21,117, by Smooth As A Cat,\nrespectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawn Chapman, the NCHA earner of $258,082, showed Little\nJackson Cat, by High Brow Cat, in 2018 to place third in the NCHA $25,000\nNovice Non-Pro World Finals and also to place tenth in the World standings. In\n2015, she showed Cat Cooper and Clays Little Kit Cat as finalists in the NCHA\nWestern Nationals $15,000 Novice Non-Pro and Non-Pro divisions, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"425\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Lil-Maddy-Rey.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Lil-Maddy-Rey.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Lil-Maddy-Rey-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><figcaption>Misty Greeson on Lil Maddy Rey. Ted Petit Photography.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Misty Greeson, the NCHA earner of $42,032, won the 2018 Western Nationals <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=16374\">$50,000 Amateur Finals <\/a>on Lil Maddy Rey earlier this week. Greeson has also won or placed showing the mare in eight limited age events, including as winner of the 2018 Arbuckle Mountain 5\/6 Classic Amateur Finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kathy Sokol, the NCHA earner of $185,429, won the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/?p=16399\">Western Nationals $5,000 Novice Non-Pro Finals<\/a> showing Bet On Finale on Saturday morning, before her afternoon performance in the $25,000 Novice Non-Pro Finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Kelle Chartier, the NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame earner of $547,529, also placed fifth on Saturday in the $5,000 Non-Pro Novice Finals riding 5-year-old Smooth Dual Kick, the winner of the 2017 Waco Texas Futurity 3-Year-Old Open under Chris Bates. Chartier has enjoyed much of her success as a Non-Pro limited age competitor.
