Rollz Royce, reserve champion of last year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s NCHA Super\nStakes, scored 228 points on Saturday, to win the 2019 NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super\nStakes Open Classic and collect his sixth major championship. Bred by Royce\nStalcup, and owned by Thomas Guinn, Philadelphia, Miss., the 5-year-old Dual\nSmart Rey son is shown by NCHA Hall of Fame trainer Beau Galyean, who collected\na record third consecutive NCHA Super Stakes Classic championship buckle with\nthe win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galyean, the NCHA earner of $3,855,766, now holds a Super Stakes Classic record with the event\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first, second, and third highest scores. He set a new record last year with 231 points aboard Stevie Rey Von, owned by Fults Ranch, by breaking the previous record of 229 points, which he had set in 2017 with Metallic Rebel, also owned by Thomas Guinn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before Rollz Royce worked, as the first horse in the second set\nof the Classic Finals, Second Spot LTE $352,103 had set the bar in the first set\nwith 225 points under Lloyd Cox. In the end, 6-year-old Second Spot, the 2016\nNCHA Futurity Open champion sired by Spots Hot and owned by his breeders, Gary\nand Shannon Barker, Madill, Okla., had prevailed as 2019 NCHA Super Stakes\nClassic reserve champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cinca Im Hot LTE $192,409, shown by Jesse Lennox for Rocking P Ranch, Fort Worth, Tex, scored 220.5 points to place third in the Classic Finals. Bred by Paul Dean and sired by Spots Hot, who is owned by Rocking P Ranch, Cinca Im Hot won the Breeders Invitational Open at four and has been 5\/6-year-old reserve champion in three major events so far in 2019, including the Cattlemen’s Cutting, the Bonanza, and the Ike Hamilton Futurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NCHA Hall of Fame rider Jesse Lennox, the earner of $1,461,241, also showed CR WRS Royal Tee for Rocking P Ranch to split sixth and seventh places with Sundance Jessie, shown for Slate River Ranch by John Mitchell; Little Red Corvette, owned by Rocking P Ranch, to split eighth through tenth with CR Tuff Mudder with Russ Westfall for George and Charlene Lane, and Metallic Smart Cat, owned by Cynthia Villa and shown by Matt Miller. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rollz Royce, Cinca Im Hot, and CR WRS Royal Tee had tied\nwith 441.5 points, the high qualifying score for the Classic Finals. CR WRS\nRoyal Tee LTE $114,020, by WR This Cats Smart, posted 223 points, the high score\nin the first go-round, where Rollz Royce and Cinca Im Hot tied with 222 points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
