Held at Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth, Tex., the sale offered a top roster of pedigrees eligible for the NRCHA Stakes, with many eligible for the NCHA Super Stakes, as well.<\/p>\n<p>The overall high seller, at $100,000, was Roadreyge, a yearling colt consigned by Wes and Lindy Ashlock, Abilene, Tex. Sired by Dual Smart Rey, whose earners of $4.8 million include NCHA Open Futurity champion Dual Smart Kitty and NRCHA Open Futurity champion Duals Lucky Charm. Doug Carpenter was the agent for Roadreyge\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s buyer, Richard Gober, Seminole, Okla.<\/p>\n<p>Shadow Oaks Ranch\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s stallion One Shiney Metallic, who qualified for the NRCHA Futurity Open Finals under trainer Corey Cushing, was the high-selling 3-year-old, at $64,000. Sired by NCHA Horse of the Year and NCHA Open Futurity champion Metallic Cat, he was purchased by Teresa Martin, Vernon, Tex.<\/p>\n<p>Redneck Royalty, a yearling colt sired by NCHA Horse of the Year Smooth As A Cat, brought $60,000 from Janet Handtmann, Santa Ynez, Calif. Consigned by Beechfork Ranch, Weatherford, Tex., Redneck Royalty is out of the Peptoboonsmal daughter Royal Red Pepto, dam of earners of $338,089.<\/p>\n<p>Specialeditionkitty, at $55,000, was the high-selling yearling filly. Consigned by Flag Ranch, LLC, Purcell, Okla., the daughter of NCHA Horse of the Year and NCHA Futurity Open champion Metallic Cat, is half-sister to Special High Brow, an NRCHA Futurity Non-Pro finalist and Herd Work reserve champion. She was purchased by Beverly Vaughn, Durango, Colo.<\/p>\n<p>Eight-year-old SDP Got Fancy Genes, an NRCHA Non-Pro Futurity and Derby champion, was the high-selling broodmare at $34,000. Consigned by Walter Greeman, the RC Fancy Step daughter is half-sister to SDP Blue Blood LTE $120,210, an NRCHA Open Stakes co-reserve champion.
