Non-Pro Hall of Famer Elizabeth Queen of Allendale, South Carolina marked 220 on Tuesday to lead the first round of Non-Pro competition at the Jerry’s Chevrolet NCHA Futurity, presented by Great American Insurance. She rode Nighttiming, by One Time Pepto.<\/p>\n

Four riders each scored 218.5 to tie for second in the go-round. They were Sarah Morine of Weatherford, Texas, on Georgy On My Mind, by Third Cutting; Michelle Cowan of Ardmore, Oklahoma, on Pink Catty, by Catty Hawk; Christina Cox of Marrietta, Oklahoma on Nothing Elz Matters, by Metallic Cat; and\u00c2\u00a0 Janet Trefethen of Napa, California, on Hissylicious, by Halreycious.<\/p>\n

One hundred eighty-four riders marked 204 or better to advance to the second round of the Non-Pro.<\/p>\n

Nighttiming was bred by Carroll’s Cutting by One Time Pepto out of Uno Reba, by Smart Little Uno. Uno Reba has produced six earners of a combined $106,000.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth Queen, the NCHA Non-Pro World Champion of 2009, first qualified for the NCHA Amateur Futurity in 1997. She has been a Non-Pro finalist three times since 2004.<\/p>\n

In the Limited Non-Pro division, Michelle Barnes of Lewiston, Idaho, marked 219 to lead 74 contestants who advanced from a 205 bubble. She rode Bet Shesa Diva, a mare bred by Pat Kirkpatrick by Bet Hesa Cat out of Plumbin Time, by Peptotime. Plumbin Time earned $20,000 in NCHA competition.<\/p>\n
