It was Wood&#8217;s first win in World Series competition.<\/p>\n<p>Phil Rapp and Dont Stopp Believin finished second with a 226, while Steve Oehlhof and Tapt Out, place third with a 223.5.<\/p>\n<p>Cool Cat Dual Rey is a homebred 7-year-old by Dual Rey out of Donas Cool Cat, a $315,000 earner that also produced Donas Suen Boon, which Wood rode to seventh place in the Mercuria finals with a 220.<\/p>\n<p>Cool Cat Dual Rey was the Novice Champion at the 2014 Abilene Spectacular, and he was a top five finalist at Abilene, the Bonanza, the Non-Pro &amp; The Open, and the Waco Texas Classic. His win at Houston takes his earnings over $121,000.<\/p>\n<h3>Constance Jaeggi takes second Non-Pro of 2016<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4231\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4231\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4231\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/jaeggi-constance.jpg\" alt=\"Constance Jaeggi.\" width=\"150\" height=\"221\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4231\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Constance Jaeggi.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Constance Jaeggi of Weatherford, Texas went two-for-two in the Mercuria World Series for 2016 by marking 225 on Saguaro Ichi to win the Non-Pro finals at Houston. Kaitlyn Wimberly placed second with a 224 on Sir Stylish Lizzy while Ray Baldwin was third with a 220.5 on Dont Look Twice, the richest cutting horse in training today.<\/p>\n<p>The win padded Jaeggi&#8217;s lead in the 2016 Non-Pro World Standings. She was World Champion in 2014 and Saguaro Ichi was NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Saguaro Ichi is by Cat Ichi out of the Freckles Playboy mare Playboys Heidi. The 10-year-old has won more than $280,000.<\/p>\n<p>Jaeggi, who is in the NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame, has earned more than $530,000. She has now won six Mercuria finals, tying Dan Hansen&#8217;s Non-Pro record in the program.
