Hitchhiker Productions photos.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Peptos Chic Olena and Todd Bimat marked 227 for a one-point win over Auspicious Cat in the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting at the Idaho Futurity on August 31. The win, worth $10,529, was the biggest yet for the 7-year-old daughter of Sweet Lil Pepto.<\/p>\n<p>Peptos Chic Olena is owned by Lauren McIntire of Goleta, California. She was bred by Bruce and Connie Clark out of Chic Olenas Promise, a Smart Chic Olena mare from the family of $681,000 producer Quejanamia.<\/p>\n<p>It was the first Mercuria win for Bimat, who won the Las Vegas Classic with Joes Last Cat, by High Brow Cat, on his way to Idaho.<\/p>\n<p>Peptos Chic Olena has been a South Point Classic finalist and a Mercuria finalist at last year&#8217;s El Rancho Futurity with Ben Neasham. Bimat made the Mercuria finals with the mare at Las Vegas last month before the breakthrough in Idaho.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11205\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11205\" style=\"width: 268px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11205  \" title=\"Sly Chance\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/sly_chance.jpg\" alt=\"Sly Chance\" width=\"268\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/sly_chance.jpg 406w, https:\/\/www.sallyharrison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/sly_chance-300x258.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 268px) 100vw, 268px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11205\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ashley Snider and Sly Chance.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ashley Snider of Bluffdale, Texas and Sly Chance marked 228 to win the Non-Pro finals of the Mercuria NCHA World Series, earning $10,087.<\/p>\n<p>Rieta Dufurrena was second with a 225 on Miss Ella Rey.<\/p>\n<p>Snider had the second high score of 225 in the go-round, behind Dan Hansen&#8217;s 225 on Woody Be Lucky.<\/p>\n<p>Sly Chance an Snider enjoyed a successful aged event career, with wins at the Bonanza, and Arbuckle Mountain (twice), as well as a reserve championship at the 2013 NCHA Super Stakes Classic.<\/p>\n<p>Sly Chance was bred by Glade Knight by That Sly Ct out of Oaks Smart Chance, a Doc&#8217;s Oak mare that was an NCHA Futurity finalist with John Mitchell. Oaks Smart Chance&#8217;s second dam, Dox Smart Chance, was a full sister to Smart Little Lena.<\/p>\n<p>With his latest win, 7-year-old Sly Chance has earned over $167,000.<\/p>\n<p>Snider was marking the 10th anniversary of her win in the Idaho Derby with Instant Bucks.
