Jeremy Lehrman of Gardendale, Texas, and Rey Leo Girl marked 216.5 for a half-point win in the $15,000 Amateur finals at the 6666 Ranch NCHA Western National Championships in Reno, Nevada, Thursday.

Bred by David Dewhurst’s Falcon Seaboard Ranches, Rey Leo Girl is a 7-year-old mare by Dual Rey out of Freckled Leo Girl, a mare that has produced the earners of $290,000.

Lehrmann, who is ranked in the Top 10 in the NCHA World Standings in the $50,000 Amateur this year, posted the second highest score in the go-round before coming back for his half-point win.

Tracey Rolofson of Las Vegas, Nevada, took the reserve championship with a 215.5 on Playboy Boonsmaid, a 7-year-old mare by Playboy Boonsmal.

Top qualifier Sarah Brooks finished third on her Montana Doc mare, Monta Doc Amy.
