Hall of Fame Horse Moms Stylish Player, ridden by Hall of Famer Kenny Platt, marked 227 to win the first round of the 7 Ranch NCHA Open World Finals on November 29, 2019 in Fort Worth’s Watt Arena.

Moms Stylish Player is owned by Robert Tregemba of Lawrence, Kansas. The 7-year-old gelding was bred by Drummond Land & Cattle Co. by Lizzys Gotta Player out of $1.3 million producer Moms Stylish Babe. An earner of more than $380,000, Moms Stylish Player won the NCHA Derby, Super Stakes, Breeders Invitational Classic and Bonanza Classic during his aged event career.

He came into the World Finals ranked ninth for the year, but his Friday night win catapulted him into fifth place.

Two horses, Some Kinda Highbrow and Cattalou, marked the night’s second high score, 220.

Some Kinda Highbrow is ridden by Gavin Jordan for Michelle LeMaster of Las Vegas, Nevada. The 9-year-old High Brow CD x Some Kinda Memories gelding has earned more than $480,000.

Cattalou is ridden by Brett McGlothlin for Billy Morris of Augusta, Georgia. The 10-year-old by High Brow Cat out of Louella Again, has earned more than $324,000.

CR Gotcha Covered, ridden by Tarin Rice for Joel Colgrove Sr. of Boligee, Alabama, has an unbeatable lead in the World Champion’s race. He earned $70,514 during the regular season, for a lead of more than $31,000. The stallion was bred by Jerry and Kathy Erwin by Dualin Boon out of The Catattac, by High Brow Cat. A finalist in 20 major limited age events, beginning with the NCHA Futurity in 2015, CR Gotcha Covered brought career earnings of more than $288,000 to the World Finals.
