Mary Britt, Seven Springs, N.C., scored 219 points on Sunday to win the 2019 NCHA Eastern Nationals $2,000 Limited Rider championship riding Dontreynonmyparadesf. Jeffery Walker, Kinder, La., scored 210 to claim the reserve championship with CD Lil Pepto, and Caylee Shepard placed third with 208 points aboard MK Rey Girl.

Mary Britt also showed 11-year-old Dontreynonmyparadesf LTE $67,749, by Duals Rey Badger, to place in the finals of the $15,000 Amateur. And last year, showed him as reserve champion of the $2,000 Limited Rider, as fourth-placed finalist in the $15,000 Amateur, and as a finalist in the $35,000 Non-Pro. Mary Britt is the NCHA earner of $15,371.

Jeffery Walker, the NCHA earner of $4,075, collected his first NCHA Eastern Nationals check and his first title on Sunday, as reserve champion of the $2,000 Limited Rider. Twelve-year-old CD Lil Pepto LTE $31,389, by Sweet Lil Pepto, was a Limited Open aged event finalist under Casey Green, as well as an Amateur limited age events finalist, who placed as reserve champion of the 2012 West Texas Classic Amateur with Paula Overstreet.

Caylee Shepard, the NCHA earner of $4,698, first showed as an Eastern Junior Youth finalist in 2016, riding High Brow Doll LTE $216,688, a paint mare that placed third in the 2004 NCHA Futurity Non-Pro with Mel Blount. Last year Caylee was also a finalist on MK Rey Girl, and earned her first title and first limited age event as champion of the Cotton Stakes Classic Non-Pro Limited riding Christy Hughes LTE $178,334, by Thomas E Hughes. Nine-year-old MK Rey Girl LTE $76,866, won last year’s NCHA Eastern Nationals Open championship with Austin Shepard, Caylee’s father.
