2018 NCHA Super Stakes – March 31, 2018 – Fort Worth, Tex.

Five-year-old Cinca Im Hot, ridden by Jesse Lennox, lived up to her name in the second go-round of the Super Stakes Open Classic with the top score of 222 points. Added to her first go-round score of 217.5, Cinca Im Hot, owned by Rocking P Ranch, Fort Worth, Tex., ranks fourth among 29 horses with cumulative scores of 436 points or higher that advanced to the Open Classic Finals on Sunday, April 1.

Metallic Mistress, sired by Metallic Cat and shown by Matt Miller for Texas Holy Cow Performance Horses, claimed the highest cumulative score of 441.5 with go-round performances of 221 and 220.5 points, while Somethingtobelievein, by Hydrive Cat, with owner Brett McGlothlin, and CR Gotcha Covered, by Dualin Boon, under Tarin Rice for Joel and Jayne Colgrove, took second and third with cumulative scored of 441 and 440.5, respectively.

Cinca Im Hot, by Spots Hot, a 2016 NCHA Futurity finalist (16th) with Lennox, won the 2017 Breeders Invitational Open and placed ninth in the 2017 NCHA Derby Open. This year, she placed fifth in the Bonanza 5/6 Open.

Cinca De Maya, by Spots Hot and the dam of Cinca Im Hot, by Dual Rey, is out of 2005 NCHA Futurity Open champion Highbrow Supercat, dam of the NCHA earners of $1.2 million.
