Jackie Davison of Rockwall, Texas, and Cajun Grace, by High Brow CD, scored 221 for a three-point win in the Unlimited Amateur finals at the Lucas Oil NCHA Super Stakes Classic on April 5.

Eric Vanboekel of Mt. Elgin, Ontario, marked 218 on Peppys Cashin Checks, by Im Countin Checks, for the reserve championship.

Davison, who rode fourth in the first set of the finals, picked up an unofficial $9,820 for her win.

Cajun Grace is owned by Davison’s parents, Eddie and Barbara Young and was bred by Pine Island Ranch by High Brow CD out of Pepto Olenas Dually, a Peptoboonsmal mare that was an Open finalist at the Abilene Spectacular and Cotton Stakes.

Cajun Grace has now earned more than $46,000. She has been an Open finalist with Sean Flynn at the Cattlemen’s Derby, and has won a string of Unlimited Amateur checks with Eddie Young.

Davison was an Amateur champion at the 2010 West Texas Derby on Miss Peptonstilettos, and placed third in the Amateur at the 2008 Breeders Invitational on Little Sugar Rey.
