Elseware, by High Brow CD, reinforced her already promising credentials with a 219-point championship win on Thursday, September 12, in the Cotton Stakes Futurity.

Trained and shown by Lee Francois for Richard Camey, Kemp, Tex., and third-placed in the West Texas Futurity, Elseware won the second go-round of the Cotton Stakes Futurity with 218 points and held the second-highest cumulative score (435 points) going into the finals. Her career earnings of $21,500 make her the leading 3-year-old money earner of 2013.

Bred by Ware Farms, Milsap, Tex., Elseware is half-sister to Holidayware, 2011 Cotton Stakes 4-Year-Old Amateur Champion and 2012 NCHA Super Stakes Classic Amateur Champion under Kelsey Weeks.

Funny Boon, by Boon Too Suen, bred by Gary Rosenbach and ridden by Casey Green for Rosenbach’s Rose Valley Ranch, Weatherford, Tex., was reserve champion with 217 points. Rose Valley Ranch is also owner of JJS Catless Merada, reserve champion, to Jett Setter under John Wold, in the Cotton Stakes 4-Year-Old Classic with Michael Cooper.

Dizzy Lizzy Girl, by Lizzys Gotta Player and reserve champion of the West Texas Futurity under owner James Payne, Marietta, Okla., was third in the Cotton Stakes Futurity with 213.5 points.
